Becca’s Cookie Bar is owned and operated by Rebecca “Becca” Dolce. Becca began baking at a young age with her mother during holiday Christmas celebrations. Her love of baking and cooking grew over the years and after completing her Bachelor’s at Montclair State during the height of the recession, she found herself baking even more between sending out stacks of resumes. Struck with a obvious-yet-brilliant idea to making baking her career, Becca got her first job in a bakery and subsequently enrolled in culinary school the following year. Over the next few years Becca earned her diploma from the International Culinary Institute (then, French Culinary Institute) and worked in various kitchens and bakeries in NYC, honing her craft. Life brought Becca back to NJ to help care for her mother after a cancer diagnosis, and after a too-long hiatus from the kitchen, Becca was itching to get back to baking. Becca’s life long dream of opening her bakery was realized in July of 2017 when she finally opened her own space in Long Branch at West End Plaza. Everyday Becca works to bring her customers quality, tasty cookies and desserts. She believes in using traditional ingredients and time-tested techniques to bring back classic homestyle baking to Monmouth County. Becca is excited to offer classics like chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin cookies and appreciates that you let her experiment with things like pistachio cranberry cookies and strawberry basil cheesecake squares. Becca is often assisted by her taste-testing partner, Alan Sytnik, and her cookie-sneaking-while-you’re-not-looking mother, Kathleen McCarty.
